“Gaspillage Alimentaire” in the ARTE emision «FutureMag»

Every year in the European Union, nearly half still edible food is thrown away, intolerable mess when we know that 79 million European citizens live below the poverty line.

Several possibilities are tested by researchers to avoid waste. Eco-extraction retrieves nutritious food molecules including pharmaceutical uses. Packaging called “active” destroy microbes and repel the expiry date of the food. But the best solution is still to change behavior.
